    Unauthorised £250 Charge – Enterprise Rent-A-Car Southall I want to warn others about my recent experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Southall. I rented a car and recorded a full video of the vehicle, including all tyres, before driving it off the lot. When I returned the car to the BMW dealership, the advisor inspected it and confirmed it was fine. Approximately 24 hours later, Enterprise contacted me claiming there was a minor cut on the driver-side front tyre. They charged £250 to my card without my knowledge or authorisation. When I challenged this at the centre, the admin staff refused to provide a receipt, spoke to me disrespectfully, and would not resolve the issue. I have now reported this to the BVRLA. I have video evidence from both collection and return showing no change to the tyre. Advice to others: Always take a full video of the car, including tyres and rims, before leaving the centre. Be careful with this location – they may try to charge for pre-existing damage. I am extremely dissatisfied with how this was handled and am pursuing a refund.

    Very disappointing experience with Enterprise. I needed a rental car for a week while my own car was in the garage. I initially booked through the Cranford branch on Bath Road after being told over the phone that I could pay using my debit card. I was also told I would receive an automatic Mercedes A-Class, with a £200 deposit and around £300 rental cost for the week. When I arrived at the branch at the agreed time, there was no Mercedes A-Class available. Instead, I was offered a BMW X1, and then suddenly told the pricing had changed to around £500 for the rental plus a £200 deposit. On top of that, I was then told I could not use my debit card, despite specifically confirming this over the phone before travelling there. This wasted a lot of my time and caused unnecessary stress. I decided to try again through the Southall branch because I had read online that debit cards are accepted for standard vehicles. Again, customer service on the phone confirmed this. However, when I arrived, I was once again told I could not rent the vehicle without a credit card, and they also claimed my details could not be verified in the system, despite me having rented from Enterprise twice before in the past. Eventually, a family member had to rent the vehicle in his own name just so we could get a car. We specifically requested an automatic vehicle, but they gave us a manual instead. The problems continued after that. The next day we contacted the branch because my family member did not feel comfortable with the vehicle and wanted to swap it. We were told to come to the branch immediately and that they would exchange it. But after travelling there, we were then told they ihad nothing available. Overall, the communication between staff and branches was inconsistent, the information given over the phone was inaccurate, and the entire process was frustrating from start to finish. I expected much better customer service from a company like Enterprise.
